Operating in the UAE since 2012, Astraea is a family-run business based on the island of Samothrace creating limited volumes of top quality, award-winning olives and olive oil products from the ancient Stavrianakis family olive grove. Kostantinos Stavrianakis, an Environmental scientist with a Postgraduate degree in Ecology & George Stavrianakis, a biologist, run the Astraea family business and are both dedicated olive oil producers and traders.
With a tradition that dates back to, at least, the 7th century BC and ideal climatic conditions and without the use of artificial colorings or preservatives, Samothrace provides an ideal location for the cultivation of olive trees. The family olive grove is located in the southern part of Samothrace, in the ancient olive growing region of the island. Astraea production runs under HACCP and ISO 22000 food management standards where no artificial ingredients or coloring is introduced.
