Badenhorst Boerdery farms established in 2005, by Casper Badenhorst at Hluhluwe. He is the biggest pineapple exporter in South Africa and the second largest baby Pineapple cultivator in the country. He provides pineapples for 52 weeks each year. Badenhorst boerdery has a dedicated team of about 200 people currently work on the pineapple farm, Belvedere.
Hluhluwe is a popular area to grow queen pineapples as it is cultivated in a radius of about 20 Kilometers. About 95% of all South Africa's baby Pineapples grow in this area with only 12 farmers. Badenhorst Boerdery farms is 2,500 Hectares, 880 of these farms are under production. They plant 120,000 pineapples Per Hectare.
